Soon After Casey Anthony's Arrest Huge questions are emerging after the release of the Anthony's private investigators' videotape. First, was Dominic Casey on the phone with Lee Anthony? Secondly, was the videotape a ploy just to aid Casey Anthony's defense strategy?

It's some of the biggest evidence yet in the case against Casey Anthony and WFTV was the first to obtain the video of an Anthony family private investigator at the crime scene a full month before Caylee's body was found (watch video scene-by-scene images).

Eyewitness News is working to find out who told that private eye to go there. The video showed that private investigator talking on the phone to somebody and detectives are pulling records to find out whom. Dominic Casey has given various responses as to whom he was speaking and has not voluntarily turned over his cell phone records. Investigators could be seeking a search warrant or subpoena for the records if he does not cooperate.

No matter why the Anthony family's private investigator was at the scene, conducting a search a month before Caylee's remains were found, the big question still is, who was on the other end of the cell phone with private eye Dominic Casey in November, possibly directing him.

Some wonder whether it was Lee Anthony and even his own attorney checked into it.

Eyewitness News' Kathi Belich watched the video with Lee Anthony's attorney, Tom Luka

The video shows the Anthony family's private eye, Dominic Casey, prodding and poking the ground at the crime scene and on the cell phone with someone.
"Is it Lee?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Luka on Monday.
"No, not that I know of. He denied ever talking to him," Luka replied.

Eyewitness News 9 also uncovered video of Lee Anthony and Dominic Casey at the jail together right after Lee's sister Casey was arrested there.

Kathi Belich asked again.
"Is it Lee on the phone with Dominic Casey?" Belich asked Luka.
"As far as I know, as far as my client is concerned, it's not him on the phone on November 15th 2008," Luka said.
"Could it be somebody who Lee spoke with who then went to Dominic Casey and provided information?" Belich asked.
"In the realm of speculation, it could've been anyone," Luka said.

Even though, last week Eyewitness News heard that only Dominic Casey's colleague, private eye Jim Hoover who shot the video,  had a copy of the videotape at the scene where Caylee's remains were found almost a month later. Luka said he saw it last week and talked to Dominic Casey about it.

Then Luka backtracked.

"How did you see it last week? Who showed it to you last week?" Belich asked Luka.
"Well, I take that back," Luka said. "I was not shown it. When it was on TV I saw it."
"Well, it wasn't on TV until last night," Belich told Luka.
"Well, I take that back. I did not see it. Did I see it? No, I did not see that video. I take that back. That was not the video I saw," he said.


Dominic Casey previously told Eyewitness News he was at the scene in November to rule out the possibility that Caylee's remains could be there. Then he said he was there to rule out that the area was a teen hangout years ago.

Lee's attorney, Luka, told Eyewitness News that Dominic Casey told him he was there to rule out a psychic's tip. That would be Gail St. John of "The Body Hunters", who was also in the same area in August and also has that on video tape. St. John said she was at the area due to a "blind drive" and "feelings" she had regarding the area. St. John also said she "was pulled there" and she strongly thought Caylee's remains were there.


During all that time, the Anthony's and their private investigators were insisting that Caylee was still alive.

LEGAL ANALYST QUESTIONS IF P.I. WAS TRYING TO HELP CASEY DEFENSE
A new theory regarding emerges why the Anthony's' private investigator was poking through the crime scene on videotape a month before Caylee's remains were discovered there. Was it all performed to help in Casey Anthony's defense?

Legal analyst Bill Sheaffer says, "He is either inept, if we're to believe he was actually investigating the crime scene in order to locate the body, or he's inept as an actor."
Sheaffer said, no matter why the Anthony's' private eye was there a month before the remains were found, chances are great he had inside information.

"If he's just out there in order to make a defense tape then he has to know where the body is in order not to stumble upon the body," Sheaffer said.


Sheaffer said the defense may have wanted to try and show the body was not there in November when Casey was in jail. So if the remains were to be found by detectives after that, the defense could try to claim someone else left it there.

"The lack of outrage regarding all of these developments on the part of that attorney and the family speaks volumes," Sheaffer said.

Dominic Casey Talks To Psychic While Searching Area Where Caylee's Remains Found

A psychic in Virginia told private investigator Dominic Casey to search the woods near the Anthony family home back in November, a month before Caylee's body was discovered.

George and Cindy Anthony’s' attorney gave the pictures to FOX 35’s Holly Bristow with permission from the family.

The agreement with the Anthony’s lawyer allowed FOX 35 to only show the photos in their January 15, 2009, evening and night newscasts and not online at this time.

Deputies, the FBI and prosecutors have seen them already. The Anthony’s private investigator Dominic Casey took them the morning of November 15, 2008, five months to the day anyone had last seen Caylee and weeks before a meter reader found her remains.

Shortly after he took them, a psychic called the PI saying she knew where Caylee Marie was. Shaky home video shows the Anthony’s private investigator rummaging through this wooded area on suburban drive around the corner from the Anthony family home.

Dominic Casey was on the phone with psychic Ginette Matacia Lucas , states away in Virginia leading him to the place she saw Caylee in a dream.

Matacia-Lucas tells FOX 35 what she was telling Casey to look for. “You're looking for what may look like trash. It’s not going to be a body you're looking for. You're looking for what looks like trash...you're not looking for a little girl sitting on the curb.”


As Dominic Casey rummaged through the woods he stopped to take still pictures to document his search. He saw trash all over, an empty oil quart, a toilet. “He said he didn't see it and I said keep looking in the woods,” said Lucas.

But the trash like debris Matacia-Lucas wanted Dominic Casey looking for would be next to something specific. “I said try to look for a rock or a paver or something,” said Lucas.


Eventually the psychic tells Dominic Casey to look for three pavers in a row.


The pictures show Dominic Casey finding one paver and then another one and finally after several minutes of feverishly searching he finds three pavers in a row next to an old tire.

Dominic Casey searched the area November 15, went back Sunday the 16th and then again on Tuesday the 18th. Dominic tells Fox 35 he was probably within 150 to 200 feet from where little Caylee was found.

Dominic Casey says the more he found of what the psychic was describing on the phone, the more freaked out he got. He says this was a very emotional time for him.

Jim Hoover has been unsuccessful in obtaining money in exchange for the video of he and another private investigator, Dominic Casey.

Brad Conway, the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, has determined since the two investigators were being paid by the Anthony's for their investigative services, the video is work product and therefore, property of the Anthony's.

This put the brakes on Hoover's soliciting the major networks and tabloids with the video contents. The Anthony's first gave Geraldo Rivera authorization to release portions of the videotape on Sunday night's episode of "Geraldo Rivera At Large", on Fox News.
WFTV Orlando has obtained the videotape contents as well.

The Anthony's are not asking for any reimbursement for the videotape as far as we know at this time.

In November 2008,  the two investigators were in the area of where Caylee's remains were found in December, by meter reader, Roy Kronk. The investigators, Jim Hoover and Dominic Casey were both employed by George and Cindy Anthony at the time the video was taped.

Law enforcement has been reviewing the video and is in the process of obtaining a search warrant for Dominic Casey's cell phone records. Dominic Casey is shown in the video talking on his cell phone, however, Jim Hoover, the investigator taping the video, was about 100 feet away and unable to determine to whom Dominic Casey was speaking. Law enforcement has requested Dominic Casey's cell phone records, but he has not provided them voluntarily as of yet.

Gail St. John's Blind Drive to Suburban Drive and Caylee's Remains: A Look Back

The story of the meter reader who found the remains of Caylee Anthony in some woods near the Anthony home is well documented. That same meter reader, Roy Kronk, also called investigators several months prior to the discovery saying he had found something suspicious.


Now a group has come forward with startling evidence that may have pointed to something at the same spot several months prior.

Psychic Gale St. John, of the show ‘The Body Hunter’, was drawn to the same area on the same day and has the video to prove it.


A video taken by St. John's daughter on the first day their search team "The Body Hunters" began looking for Caylee Marie Anthony seems to show that St. John felt their was something odd about the location.  Their first visit to Suburban drive was also the same day as Roy Kronk's first 911.


St. John said she was riding with her apprentice, her daughter, a searcher and two cadaver dogs doing what they call a blind drive. They started at the Anthony’s home just around the corner from the site. "We just start fresh from the scene,” said St. John. “And just drive to a location we feel the person is in.”In this case it didn't take St. John long. The video shows St. John taking a right on Suburban Drive, where there is now a make shift memorial.


"Alright, I've got to pull over,” she can be heard saying on the video. “Guys I'm immediately pulled here.” St. John is saying those words as she's driving up to the exact area where Caylee's remains were eventually found.

St. John says the feeling she got that day was overwhelming, "You get very sick to your stomach,” she said. “You feel as though you've been punched in the stomach and something knocks the air out of you."

On the video, as Gail's vehicle pulls up alongside the area that is now known to have been the entrance to the area where Caylee's remains were found, one can clearly hear the dog begin to "react".
Also in the video, as you see St. John's searcher with her dog, it is clear she is in the area leading up to the "path" that led to Caylee's remains. 

St. John let her searcher out of the car with one of their cadaver dogs. St. John then drove up the road to see if the feeling got stronger. It didn't, so she turned back around and proceeded back to the area where her searcher was.

"Something's not right here something's not right here," St. John told her daughter on the video that day.
St. John and her crew took a look around.
"The dogs showed very heavy interest back in that area," said St. John.


But they didn't get far. "You can only go so far, and its water," said St. John's searcher on the video.


Unfortunately, St. John could not get permission from the property owner to go into the woods where Caylee's remains would be found so she did not return. St. John contact OCSO who told her basically if she went onto the property to search without the owner's permission she would be arrested.  St. John has also said she begged searchers with TES to re-search the area.

It is known that TES did search near the area where Caylee's remains were found.  However, due to water conditions, the search was terminated.  Tim Miller stated at the time if there was evidence in the wooded swamp area, he did not want to risk destroying it with search vehicles or burying it deeper into the soil.


When St. John learned Caylee's remains were found in the same area, it wasn’t really a shocker to her. "I honestly wasn't surprised at all,” she said. “My reaction was that's where we said that we felt something."


One can get a better perspective of the area by watching the video now, three years after precious Caylee was discarded like trash.  Emotions are also also amplified knowing that Caylee's remains were so close to her home and so close to being discovered.

Lee Anthony Speaks to Reporters About Casey's Employment Raw Video: A Look Back 8.5.08

Lee Anthony answers, er, attempts to answer questions from media reporters regarding Casey Anthony's case.

In an almost 20 minute unedited video, we get our first glimpse of Lee's inappropriate laughing and behavior, not just nervousness while speaking to the media. Lee also previews his use of 'big words' and rambling to take focus off of his answers -- which ultimately are not actual answers.

When asked by a reporter about Casey's employment Lee answers the family can not disclose her actual employer at this time. Lee states:

"Casey has been working with a specific company --which we have decided not to disclose--as an event coordinator, in conjuction with Universal. Yes, it is a contract company with Universal. We are being advised on what not to say or what to say to maintain the integrity of the case. Law enforcement has asked us not to disclose certain facts so to maintain the integrity of the case. Thus, keeping the main focus on Caylee."


There is discussion of hawking of t-shirts, fliers, and bracelets. Lee also gives his version of the disposal of teddy bears and stuffed animals that were donated to Caylee by the public due to "cigarette smoke".

Mention of his first video visitation with Casey in jail and how she could communicate with the family through "letters" and phone calls.

Lee describes plans to celebrate Caylee's upcoming third birthday. "It's going to be an important day for all of us."

Casey Anthony Trial: Court Mysterious Recess Saturday Morning

Casey Anthony had a short time away from her cell on Saturday. Court was recessed promptly at 9:40AM until 9:00AM Monday morning. (left)

The Casey Anthony trial was abruptly recessed under mysterious circumstances on Saturday at approximately 9:40am EDT.

With no testimony and little explanation, Judge Belvin Perry recessed for the day.

A matter was raised by Prosecutor Jeff Ashton regarding yet another matter pertaining to a defense witness not supplying reports that the court had ordered.  This witness was to be the first called on behalf of the defense on Saturday.  After an exchange between Ashton and Baez, Judge Perry said the matter would be dealt with at a later date.  

Cheney Mason, assistant defense counsel, then requested to speak with Judge Perry at sidebar.  Prosecutors Ashton, Drane-Burdick, and George joined the defense team at sidebar. the defense and Anthony left the courtroom with Perry.  After the sidebar, the court reporter joined Judge Belvin Perry, attorneys Baez, Mason, and Simms, defendant Casey Anthony, as well as the prosecutors, in the holding area of the court.

Casey Anthony eventually walked back into the courtroom, clearly upset, and began tearing up and dabbing her eyes with a tissue. She remained at the defense table for the remainder of the meeting between attorneys and Judge Perry.

After about 45 minutes, Judge Perry walked back into the courtroom and said that due to an unrelated legal matter, court was recessed until 8:30am Monday.

Court testimony for Saturday was scheduled for a full day, as opposed to the regular half day of testimony on Saturday. This change was ordered by Judge Belvin Perry earlier this week.

Six to eight witnesses were present to be called for testimony by the defense.


Casey's attorneys have told the judge at her trial that they expect to wrap up in the middle of next week.

Prosecutors say they then need a day or two for rebuttal witnesses.

That means jurors could start deliberations as early as a week from now.

The loss of another day of testimony likely means another delay in an already five-week trial.

On Friday, the defense estimated it would rest its case on Wednesday or Thursday. Perry hoped to send the jury out for deliberations on Friday or Saturday.

Saturday's delay means that timeline will likely be pushed back, and possibly mean the loss of July 4, a holiday.

A court spokeswoman said that court would not take place on July 4, unless the jury already had the case.

Testimony will resume 8:30 a.m. Monday, Perry said.

June 1, 2011: Casey becomes angry at trial. First after Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia's testimony and during the viewing of a video that featured superimposed images Caylee's skull and duct tape over a picture of a smiling Caylee and Casey--to depict that the duct tape could in fact have been the cause of death by being placed over both the nose and mouth.

From June 24th, 2011: Just after returning from sidebar with Cindy on stand.

Prior to the sidebar, Baez asked Cindy about whether the baby shower being before or after Caylee's birth.
Cindy replies she told him "yes", that is why she said the baby had come a month earlier than "expected."
The baby shower was after the birth.

Following the sidebar, Baez then tried to enter a photo from  the baby shower (below) which was sustained by Judge Perry  by Linda Drane Burdick's objection .



Casey became infuriated just after the sidebar ended. Casey appeared to be trying to speak to Cheney Mason about whatever upset her during the sidebar -- which appeared to infuriate her -- just as Jose Baez turns around, Casey grabs her neck and attempts to hide her frustration and anger from Baez. The rage in Casey's face is very haunting and disturbing.
