Brad Conway, the Anthony's attorney wanted to reiterate that the Anthony's are NOT soliciting donations earmarked for Caylee's funeral or memorial service. They are planning a private funeral service after the holidays, and a public memorial as well.

Large Venue Sought

While he did not name a date or place for the tributes, Conway did say, "The public memorial will have to be located at a large venue so that everyone who wants to pay their last respects to this beautiful child may do so," Conway said.

A spokesman for the jail where Caylee's mother and accused murderer, Casey Anthony, is being held pending trial said that Casey would not be able to attend a funeral or memorial service because of the charges against her, as well as for safety and security reasons. Casey is charged with first degree murder, and being held without bond.

The meter reader who discovered the remains of Caylee Anthony plans to tell his whole story to the media sometime in the new year, his attorney said on Wednesday.

Roy Kronk is “evaluating his options for participation in various interviews,” attorney David Evans said, adding that Kronk has been approached by a variety of local, cable, and network media to tell his story.

Caylee Anthony was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July. Casey Anthony was charged with murder in October.

Caylee’s remains were found on Dec. 11, 2008, by a meter reader. The Medical Examiner's Office concluded its autopsy on the remains on Friday, December 19, 2008.

Caylee's remains were released on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, to a South Orlando funeral home. The Anthony family has withheld funeral services for Caylee until a second autopsy on the remains is conducted by the defense team of experts.

Thank you, Mr. Kronk, for finally showing your true colors. It didn't take long. I knew you only wanted to cash in on this beautiful little girl's tragic story, I just didn't know it would be so soon. You wanted so desperately to "remain anonymous", but it didn't work out for you.

Instead of being a real man to insure the State keeps this miserable monster behind bars where she belongs, you go and "sell your soul" to tabloid media. You know by doing so, it discredits anything you have to offer on the witness stand, because it makes you look like you are only out for a buck. Profiting off of an innocent child's murder. Jurors don't look kindly on witnesses like you. Yet, you seemed so concerned. Heh..

Caylee Anthony: Update to Funeral Service Arrangments and Witness List in Casey Anthony Case

Caylee's grandparents, Cindy and George Anthony, plan to have Caylee's funeral after the holidays.

They will hold a private memorial to honor their granddaughter and also are looking into holding a public community memorial.

A second autopsy will be done on Caylee's remains by an expert on the defense team of Casey Anthony.

Also new on Monday, two more names have been added to the state's witness list. Troy Brown, Casey's friend, and Cameron Capena have been added to the listed.

It is not clear what relationship Capena has to the case.

Casey Anthony The Battle Of The Experts Begins

Bones will play a big part in the date and time of when little Caylee died. Also, Prosecutors may rely on bugs and plants to link Casey to crime scene.

During the crime scene search, forensic investigators were obtaining botanical evidence and entomological evidence to determine when the body was placed there. They will also need to know when the area was flooded, when it rained, what the humidity records were. All of these together will help determine the rate of decomposition.

The fact that the body could have been found months ago, based on newly reports of the meter reader that found the remains called OCSO 3 times in August, means more conclusive evidence would have been obtained, such as soft tissue, internal organs, etc.

Dr. Michael Baden also believes it is of great priority to determine the fraternal DNA of Caylee. In other words, "who's the father?" Baden says knowing the father's DNA would play a major role in "what happened to the baby".

Published reports have stated that Caylee's father died in an auto accident a two years ago. There have been several variations on this story.
Additionally, at the onset of her pregnancy, Casey led Jesse Grund, her then boyfriend, to believe an unborn Caylee was his. This led to an engagement of Jesse and Casey. Just six months later, Casey called the engagement off. After Caylee's birth, in August, 2005, Jesse Grund took a paternity test that determined he was not the father of Caylee. Despite this knowledge, a relationship between Caylee, Jesse and Jesse's parents continued to grow.

The defense team experts say the prosecution is going to have a hard time proving the medical examiner's findings of "homicide", especially asphyxiation by chloroform. Defense expert Lawrence Kobilinsky says without soft tissue, it will be hard to prove the presence of chloroform relying on bones alone. Dr. Michael Baden, husband of defense team counsel, Linda Kenny Baden, added his opinion on the chloroform. Baden stated that "If what the meter reader saw in August is true, and the bag had been found at that time, the air space of the bag could have been tested for chloroform."
Much like the air space in Casey's car trunk, which was tested at forensic laboratories in Oak Ridge, TN, and were conclusive. The report stated the car contained highly saturated amounts of chloroform.

Late Saturday, another search warrant was executed for the Anthony's home. Some speculate that they were searching for soil matches linked to the crime scene. It has been reported that shoes and clothing and pictures were taken at this time. Even something as small as a blade of grass could link Casey to the crime scene. If Caylee died at the Anthony home and was then placed at the crime scene, fibers, and or soil of different make-up of that with the crime scene, if found with the remains, will be identifiable and tested to link Casey to the crime.

Experts agree that even with claims of "shoddy police work" on behalf of the defense, the prosecution still has the advantage. The prosecution will not let Casey benefit by not allowing investigators to establish the cause of death when Casey allegedly disposed of Caylee's body like trash. Prosecution can also use Casey's false statements and hindering investigation, not to mention her history of past lies and actions, and unwillingness to help investigators find the body and establish cause of death more quickly.

Prosecution has evidence to show that Caylee Anthony drove around with the corpse of Caylee Anthony in her car trunk, dumped the body at the crime scene, then left her car at an Orlando Amscot. Her car was towed after three days, on June 30. George and Cindy Anthony retrieved the car on July 15, 2008. Casey was arrested for felony child neglect in the early morning hours on July 16, 2008. After two releases on bond and a grand jury indictment, Casey Anthony was finally charged with first degree murder on October 15, 2008. This indictment came after FBI lab results and results from the Body Farm in TN, came back positive for decomposition in the trunk of Casey's car, a hair that was found in the trunk was a positive match to that of either Caylee or Casey, but also showed the death band, and chloroform was found to be at a highly saturated level in the trunk.

No matter the defense of Casey. No matter change of venue or not. It all goes back to July 15, 2008, when Cindy Anthony herself says on the 911 tape, "I can't find my granddaughter. I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."

Insects Could Compromise Evidence in Caylee Anthony Case

On Good Morning America, a forensic expert said Monday there's a need to speed up testing on the remains.


The expert, who specializes in insects, is on Casey Anthony's defense team. Timothy Huntington said the study of insects could determine the time of death, but he said "insect" evidence changes over time and insects could be compromising evidence right now.


"The sooner I could get access to that, the better it is and the more accurate it will be," he said.
Huntington said even scientists can modify insect evidence while conducting tests and that's the reason why the defense team wants to take a look at the evidence at the same time as investigators.

I am under the impression Mr. Huntington belives he has more knowledge of the testing than the State's forensic team of experts.

'Bone Trail' Found Through Woods Near Anthony Home

All weekend, two official sources who spoke to WESH 2 News on the condition of anonymity, said they have been recovering more human remains in the wooded area along Suburban Drive near the home of missing Caylee Anthony.

According to one investigator, at least two dozen bones have been discovered so far, in addition to a skull with light long hair consistent with a female child.

Investigators and Casey Anthony's defense team said they are operating under the assumption that the remains are those of the missing 2-year-old.

Investigators said they're still trying to determine why the child's mouth was taped shut with duct tape. At this point they said they do not believe this was meant to look like the child was killed by a kidnapper.

Investigators said they believe Caylee's body was dumped at the location in the woods shortly after she was killed. The bag full of human child remains was discovered by a meter reader, who went into the woods to relieve himself.

Sources have described a small "bone trail" found outside the garbage bag, leading them to suspect that it was likely submerged for an unknown period of time and some of the remains floated out of the bag or were scattered by animals.

For the first time, WESH 2 News has also confirmed that the child's body was wrapped in some sort of "covering" inside the bag.

According to sources, it was the covering -- along with the trash bag and duct tape -- that investigators said they believe are tied to the Anthony house nearby on Hopespring Drive.

On Saturday, it was confirmed that a portion of the remains were flown to the FBI crime lab in Quantico, Va. Test results to attempt to match the remains with Caylee's DNA are expected to take at least a week.

One investigator said that it was difficult to have seen the video and pictures of Caylee's smiling face and come to the realization that it appears her remains were simply dumped in the woods.

"It was cold," one source told WESH 2 News. "That's where the punch in the gut was."

Investigators said their reactions to the findings have ranged from elated to overwhelmed.

At this point, sources said they are pleased with the evidence taken from the Anthony home late last week during the execution of a search warrant.

Those items included vacuum cleaners inside, which investigators said they hoped some sort of hair or fiber evidence could still be of value to the case against Casey Anthony.

She is charged with first-degree murder in connection with her daughter's disappearance and presumed death.

When notified Thursday of the discovery of the remains, witnesses said Casey Anthony started sobbing and asked for a sedative.

When asked how his client was doing, Jose Baez said she "is not doing very well at all."

Thirty technicians from the FBI's Evidence Response Team have joined Orange County's crime scene investigators at the wooded area about a quarter-mile from the Anthony home.

The attorney representing the Orlando mother accused of murdering her 3 year old daughter got his first glimpse of the site where the remains of a child were discovered on Thursday.

Jose Baez stood behind crime scene tape, several yards away from where the remains were found in a wooded area just off Suburban Drive and within a quarter-mile of the home of the missing toddler's grandparents.

"We should be able to observe the scene. This isn't just anyone we're allowing in, we're allowing in people they (the investigators) come to when they train," said Jose Baez speaking of a team of forensic experts assembled for the defense of 22 year old Casey Anthony.

Anthony was indicted in October on first-degree murder of Caylee Marie, even though the toddler's body hadn't been found. Casey has insisted that she left the girl with a baby sitter in June, but she didn't report Caylee missing until July.

A medical examiner found evidence among the child's remains that link them to the grandparents' home of the missing toddler, Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said Friday, offering the strongest indication yet that the remains may be those of Caylee Marie.

On Friday, an Orange County judge denied a motion filed by Baez to preserve and protect the body of the small child. Judge Stan Strickland's ruling also denied a forensic team for the defense to work alongside crime scene investigators and the Orange County Medical Examiner.

Such experts include Dr. Kathy Reichs, a forensic anthropologist and bestselling author of crime books, Dr. Werner Spitz, a renowned forensic pathologist, Dr. Timothy Huntington, a board-certified forensic entomologist from the University of Nebraska, forensic scientist Dr. Larry Kobilinsky and criminalist Henry Lee.

Meanwhile investigators continued to collect evidence at the scene where a utility worker had found a small skull.

"The best defense is full disclosure. That's the main issue here. If there are dozens of FBI agents and numerous law enforcement offiers doing something in this area, and then going to my client's home, I'm going to pay attention to it and I want to know what's going on," said Baez during a news conference held on Saturday.

When asked if he believed the remains were those of Caylee, Baez said his team was proceeding as if that was a possibility. "We're preparing as if it is, and we're not going to ignore what investigators are doing. If it's not Caylee, we can't even celebrate, because it's someone's child."

Baez also elaborated on how Casey was handling news that remains of what could be her missing daughter were discovered and are currently under analysis. "She's not doing well at all. She wants to know what's going on, and it's something she can't do right now. I can't imagine a more difficult position for a mother to be in right now," he said.


Things mostly quiet at Anthony home

It was a relatively quiet day outside the Anthony home on Saturday, that was until the uncle of missing Caylee and brother of Casey stormed out the front door.

Surprising the media and onlookers who watched, Lee Anthony walked over to a makeshift memorial in front of the house, grabbing up the teddy bears and pictures that were left there in memory of his three year old niece.

Shortly thereafter, Jose Baez drove up to the house in this silver Cadillac along with with members of his legal team.

"Uh, we're just doing our work, really," explained Baez.

Earlier today, passersby continued a slow and fading procession through along Hopespring Drive.

"A lot of things are racing through my head, because I have nieces and nephews around that age too," said Shantell Peterson. "I just cried about it, because she didn't deserve that. If that's her ... she did not deserve to be killed like that," she added.

Orange County Sheriff's officials say evidence is mounting that the skull belongs to the toddler. The Orange County Medical Examiner's office and FBI forensics experts say it could be a week before conclusive DNA results are released.

Baez Jumps the Gun with Motion; Geragos Says Life More Horrific

Prosectors made an argument today to deny Baez's motion to have their own defense experts at the autopsy of the remains. The argument was that prosecution did not want a defense expert witness attending an autopsy, an act that carries on respect to the deceased, to be on a nationwide talk show within 24 describing the child's remains. He added that after Baez had full reign to Casey's car for defense forensic testing, Dr. Henry Lee was on tv less than 24 hours describing in full detail the car and its condition.
The Prosecutor said he found it nothing less than nauseating. He stated that something as sacred as an autopsy should be private and handled with the expertise of the Medical Examiner and that the defense would have access to results and findings and any other forensic evidence that can be used for their own testing.

The defense in an odd move, made a statement in court that the remains that were found yesterday were tentatively those of Caylee. It was defense co-counsel that put into court record that anthropological measurements and age of the skeletal remains and the color of the hair found at the scene matched those of Caylee Anthony.
In essence, the defense was claiming that the remains ARE those of Caylee Anthony. Motions such as those made by the defense today normally are made after positive identification is made and released by lab results, or by the FBI Lab in Quantico,VA, as in this case.

Judge Strickland denied Baez's motion for defense experts to attend autopsy.

On Larry King: Live tonight, when asked if the prosecution would consider putting death back on the table, high-profile defense attorney, Mark Geragos replied, "Sometimes life without parole is more horrific than death."
Maybe Casey can become pen pals with Scott Peterson. They can compare notes on which is the worst.
