Caylee Anthony's Name to Join "Waterfall of Tears" Memorial
Don Williams and the "Waterfall of Tears"
Caylee Anthony's name will be added to the "Waterfall of Tears", a memory wall created by Don Williams of Leesburg, Florida.
Don began his ‘Waterfall of Tears’ memorial in 2005. It is constructed of concrete blocks and each bear the names of children who have been murdered. Caylee Anthony is to join the Waterfall of Tears and join the ranks of other murdered Angels.
What would inspire such an act? Don’s inspiration to build his memorial to murdered children started almost 4 years ago, after the horrible murder of little 9 year old Jessica Lunsford, from Homosassa, Florida, who was kidnapped, held for days, abused, then buried alive.
The Waterfall of Tears has over 90 murdered children names. Those include Polly Klaas, JonBenet Ramsey, Jimmy Ryce of Homestead, Florida, the students killed in the Columbine High School massacre, and even Julian King, the nephew of singer-actress Jennifer Hudson. They all decorate concrete blocks that sit in Don’s front yard.
Don, who is 47, has seven adult children and is a heavy equipment operator, says it is his way of remembering missing children who were later found dead.
Don says, “it is time to add Caylee Marie Anthony to his Waterfall of Tears, now that she has been found. Now her name will rest with the rest of the Angels on the wall.”
He hopes he can help bring peace to the Anthony family, and to all the families whose children’s names decorate the memorial wall. “I feel like I’m doing something for them to keep their child’s name alive,” he said. “If I can paint Caylee’s name and have her join the rest of the Angels, that would be great. That would really make my day.”
When asked about his Waterfall of Tears, he says, “there was nothing for these little kids that have been murdered,” he said. I thought “I’ve got to dedicate something.” And DO he DID…
Don constructed the 60 foot wide by 60 foot long memorial labeled, “The Waterfall of Tears.” Where the names of murdered children surround a 15-foot-deep pond.
Once he hears about a child found murdered, Don dedicates a block in the child’s memory. The blocks of murdered children have their name, their age at the time of death, with the state of their birth. The whole memorial takes up about a quarter-acre of his property.
“It feels so good letting these parents know their child is not forgotten,” Don stated. The children “had a chance in life and someone took it, for some reason.”
For Caylee, Williams has collected artificial flowers and placed them in an area reserved for her. He keeps a photo of Caylee on the block reserved for her.
He has taken a particular interest in the Caylee Anthony case and has even gone so far as dropping off a video at the Anthony home showing his memorial and his plans to include Caylee. He also participated in the search for Caylee and would like George and Cindy Anthony to personally add Caylee’s name to his Waterfall of Tears. Don says the wall is for the families and he wants them to know their child is not forgotten and that people do care.
Don says, “all kids who lose their lives under tragic circumstances deserve a fitting memorial. These kids didn’t need to die and with each name I’ve written down, I feel a presence of each little kid.”
His Waterfall of Tears will have a new name soon, Caylee Marie Anthony’s place has been saved and her cement block is just waiting for the right time to have her name, age and the state where she was born, added to it. Don Williams will not let Caylee Anthony be forgotten. She will forever be on his Waterfall Of Tears, alongside the other abused Angels.

Casey Anthony Copycat Charged With False Information and Restitution of Search Expenses

Miami police say a 6-month old baby boy who was reported missing was never really gone -- and didn't exist.
A Miami woman named Megan McCormic, 22, told police that a baby sitter never returned her 6-month-old. Police said Friday that McCormic was lying and used the fake existence of the baby to lure an ex-boyfriend from Boston, who had traveled to Miami to meet his supposed son. McCormic suffered a miscarriage in March, but lied to the baby's father and told him she carried to term. McCormic sent baby pictures to him that she had obtained off the internet.

Missing Baby Never Existed
McCormic was arrested Friday morning on charges of giving false information to police officers. It is not clear whether she has an attorney.
Miami Police want McCormic to pay for the resources that were used to locate the supposed missing child.
Nearly 20 detectives worked the case throughout all of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Restitution for these charges are likely.
Casey Anthony: "The Nanny took her.."
Casey Anthony was first charged in July, 2008, with Felony Child Neglect and Making False Statements to Law Enforcement to hinder a case. Anthony was later charged with First Degree Murder and is in the Orlando County jail without bond. Her daughter, Caylee Anthony, remains were found six months after she was last seen, one quarter mile from Anthony's home. Law enforcement, FBI, as well as other searchers and resources, clocked almost six months total investigative and search time before Caylee's remains were found December 11, 2008, without any assistance from her mother, Casey.
George and Cindy are planning a memorial for Caylee Anthony for after the holidays and after defense experts conduct a second autopsy.
The Anthony's have removed all the "Have You Seen Caylee" and "Help Find Caylee Marie Anthony" posters that were attached to their front door since July, 2008.

Is Casey Anthony capable of murder?
On Wednesday, Christmas Eve, even NBC's morning show, "Today" wasn't taking a break from the headline-making case.
Guest Pat Brown, criminal profiler, joined Ann Curry for an interview regarding the case. The discussion helped answer the question why a mother might kill her child.
Ann Curry asked about Casey Anthony's behavor -- such as partying -- before and after her daughter Caylee's disappearance.
"I wouldn't call this inappropriate behavior," criminal profiler Pat Brown said. "I'd call it evidence of psychopathy. The fact that she lies constantly. The fact that she has no empathy for that missing child, has no interest in that missing child, shows a person that didn't really care about another human being. Is she capable of therefore doing something to that child? Absolutely."
Brown, who stressed that she's not a forensic psychologist, noted that a psychopath knows what she's doing. Brown said she couldn't call Casey Anthony a psychopath in court, but added that the young mother exhibited psychopathic tendencies. Brown theorized that Casey had fooled former fiance Jesse Grund.
"The fiance -- he's one of those who got caught in Casey's net," Brown said. "What happens with a person with a psychopathic personality is that they will act in a certain way according to what it will get them."
A psychopath would use a baby as an object to get attention, Brown theorized. But when that child grows older and gets in the way, a psychopath "would easily cut that person loose," Brown said. "That's what the fiance is confused about."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~In reading this posting myself, I have had to step back and take another long look, as I did the first day this case made headlines.
It is hard, as a mother, to imagine that a child could succumb at the hands of their own mother. The same mother that once gave them life, for reasons yet unknown, took their life away.
I have to believe there was a time that Casey loved Caylee. There are too many pictures of happy times and smiling faces to make one wonder that Caylee was never loved. Often, I am almost envious of all the pictures that Casey had posted at one time of herself with Caylee and those pictures of just Caylee's captivating smile and big brown eyes. I do not have near that many pictures posted in my online account, although, not sharing too many pictures of my children online was a personal matter of safety.
When Jesse Grund noticed that Casey had deleted almost 200 pictures of Caylee from her MySpace page, it was rather odd. In essence, that is what Casey attempted to do with her own life. Delete the portion she did not want. Now, the sad irony is, after all these heart wrenching months, all that remains are the photos of this angelic, brown eyed girl, that America has grown to love as their own.

As I look at the photos again, I can't help but think of the line from "It's A Wonderful Life": "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets it's wings"....
Keep all the missing children under your wings, Caylee. Help guide them home.

Casey's Christmas in Jail: Roast Beef, Gifts, and Candy Canes, Too
Casey Anthony will not be allowed to attend the funeral of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, whom Casey is charged with first degree murder.
The fact that Casey is charged with a capital felony (murder), it is unlikely that Casey will have privileges to attend even if her defense motions the court for a special request.
AS OF 12/23/08 7PM: Casey has not petitioned the court for special permission to attend the funeral, nor has plans to. In a statement from her defense, Casey will not attend the funeral or memorial, because she does not want to be the "center of attention", or have the service be turned into a media spectacle...
out of respect for Caylee at this time, I will refrain from commenting on this statement.
However, Casey will be having a Christmas dinner of Roast beef, mashed potatoes and bread. She will also receive gifts which include candy canes, socks and a pocket calendar.

Caylee Anthony would have been enjoying her 4th Christmas as an energetic 3 year old. The perfect age to begin realizing the meaning of Christmas as Jesus' birthday, waiting for Santa, and all the traditions.
Instead, there will be a funeral held after the second autopsy of her remains. It is alleged Caylee succumbed at the hands of her own mother, Casey, on or around June 15, 2008, a month and a half shy of Caylee's third birthday.As of Tuesday afternoon, Caylee's remains have been moved to a funeral home.

Caylee Anthony: Update to Funeral Service Arrangments and Witness List in Casey Anthony Case
Caylee's grandparents, Cindy and George Anthony, plan to have Caylee's funeral after the holidays.
They will hold a private memorial to honor their granddaughter and also are looking into holding a public community memorial.
A second autopsy will be done on Caylee's remains by an expert on the defense team of Casey Anthony.
Also new on Monday, two more names have been added to the state's witness list. Troy Brown, Casey's friend, and Cameron Capena have been added to the listed.
It is not clear what relationship Capena has to the case.

**UPDATE 12/22** Search Warrant Executed on Anthony's Home Saturday

UPDATE 12/22/08:
Crime scene investigators stripped Caylee Anthony's room and then raided Casey's closet during a recent search of the home.
Crime scene investigators have confiscated boxes of items from the Anthony home two times in the past week.
Last Thursday, 12/18/08, investigators were focused on Caylee Anthony. They took her clothes, shoes and her toys.
Over the weekend, another search warrant was executed and investigators came back for Casey Anthony's belongings. They took more of Caylee's clothes, five to eight pairs of Casey shoes and her clothes as well.
Legal expert Bill Sheaffer believes investigators are trying to take as many items as possible to help build their case because they don't have a cause of death.
"Any forensic evidence linking Casey to the scene is extremely important for the states prosecution," said Sheaffer.
We are also told investigators took soil samples from the Anthony home. Once defense attorney Jose Baez found out that the samples were taken as part of the evidence, he sent out his own team and they collected soil from the home for there forensic experts.
It is also reported investigators also took two pairs of sunglasses and a pink-zippered bag.

Update: It has been reported that after learning the news of Caylee, Casey Anthony refused a visit from her pastor and opted for a visit with her defense team.
Statement from the Orange County Jail: Casey Anthony has been notified of the development in her case.
Inmate Casey Anthony is aware of the developments in her case. She was notified by a jail chaplain as is consistent with our policy. The notification came at approximately 1:45 p.m.
Attorney Jose Garcia from the Baez Law Firm was in the Female Detention Center meeting with his client and entered the perimeter at 11:41 this morning. Due to happenstance, not policy, Attorney Garcia was not in the presence of the inmate when the notification was made.
We will not be commenting on the demeanor of inmate Anthony or her reaction to the news and do not have any public records related to this matter.

Meter Reader, Roy Kronk Timeline of Tip Calls: Slueth or Suspicious?
A utility worker stumbled upon the remains last week, less than a half-mile from where the girl lived. DNA tests confirm that the remains match Caylee Anthony's genetic profile, said the Orange County Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia .
8/11: Roy Kronk sees suspicious "gray bag" and calls in tip. Deputy searches and finds nothing Kronk was not there during deputy search.
8/12: Kronk calls in tip to crimeline. Authorities say area was searched by cadaver dog. Nothing reported.
8/13: Kronk calls in tip for 3rd time. Two deputies respond, meet Kronk and find nothing.
4 days later Tropical Storm Faye hits Orlando area, flooding areas with water.
12/11: Kronk calls 911 that he has found skeletal remains (in same area). OCSO arrives on the scene and immediately labels the area, then later the Anthony home, an official crime scene.
As I mentioned in the earlier post, why all the calls? Why did he keep returning to the scene?
Although Kronk is not a suspect, it is very "interesting" at least.
At this time we do not have exact information that Caylee's remains were found in a "gray bag", as Kronk said he saw in August. However, we have heard that the remains were found in a black bag.
Also in his press conference, the meter reader mentioned that "the animals could have moved the bag".

Update to Toxicology Tests
Dr. G stated that due to there being hair remaining with the skeletal remains, Medical Examiners will have evidence to test for any type of drugs that may have been given to Caylee. Also, if there is any bone marrow that is "moist" enough to test, they may be able to tell if there has been any evidence of drugs introduced into Caylee's body as well.
Simply stated, the hair and bone marrow from Caylee's remains will allow medical examiners to determine if Caylee had ever been drugged and if so, what types of drugs, (i.e. Xanax, chloroform) and perhaps how long this had been happening. Medical Examiners will also be able to determine how much of the drugs, if any were in the body at time of death.

Anthony's Former Incompetent Spokesperson Michelle Bart on Dr. Phil---Was She High?
On today's episode of Dr. Phil, titled "Dr. Phil: Behind The Headlines, Caylee Anthony", a host of experts and lawyers such as Lisa Bloom, Mickey Sherman, Lawrence Kobilinsky, and others, gathered to discuss the developments in the case.
I will post a transcript of the show later. I just found this statement made by Michelle Bart, Anthony's former spokesperson, very odd and more than inappropriate. Seems like she took a big long guzzle of the Casey Kool-aid before stepping down as spokesperson. However, Bart claims she is still right there with the Anthony's and will continue to be by their side.
At the conclusion of the show, Dr. Phil said his thank yous to the guests and said to Michelle, "Michelle, there is something you wanted to add, you have five seconds."

She is referring to the Adam Walsh case, which was officially closed on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Adam Walsh was 6 years old when he was kidnapped from a shopping mall. His decapitated head was found two weeks later. His body was never found. Adam's father, John Walsh later went on to create the television show "America's Most Wanted" and also contribute to major missing children's cases.
After almost three decades of police investigation, this week, Hollywood, Florida, police named Ottis Toole, a deceased inmate and former drifter, the prime suspect in Adam's disappearance and murder. If Ottis had not died in prison in 1997, he would face charges today.

How indecent of you to speak of something you clearly know nothing about. Much like all the statements you have made regarding Caylee. I was so appalled when I heard these words come out of your mouth.
I should not be surprised however, coming from someone as unrefined as you.
I remember this case clearly. I feel deeply for the Walsh's. I am content, as I know they are, that this monster was finally named, but not soon enough. His death in 1997 failed him from ever being prosecuted. However, Toole did know he was an implied suspect.
I will quote John Walsh from his speech at the press conference:
"The criminal justice system is sometimes the criminal in the justice
system. Sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it does. Most of the time it
does. Just do not give up hope. Do not give up hope."
"Wherever Toole is, he is being held accountable for his
actions and he is getting what he deserves,
somewhere."

I was present with Detective Clark, Detective Kraubetz and assisted in conducting a search of Anthony Lazzaro's apartment at the direction of Detective Corporal Yuir Melich. I also participated in the door to door canvass of the Sutton Place Apartments and I screened several telephone calls and forward the information gained from the apartment canvass and from those calls to the analysts coordinating the tips and leads.
BRIAN BURNER ENGAGEMENT
On July 17th, 2008, at approximately 1500 hours, Detective Sergeant John Allen asked me to meet with Mr. Brian Burner in reference to obtaining a sworn statement from him detailing his knowledge into the disappearance of Caylee Anthony. Sergeant Allen gave me Mr. Burner's cellular telephone number and asked me to call him to 'arrange our meeting. At approximately 1508 hours, I called Mr. Burner and introduced myself as the detective who was coming to meet with him. Mr. Burner told me he would meet me in the parking lot of a business called H&B Trading Company located at 6855 President's Drive, Orlando, Florida. He said he would be driving a maroon Ford Taurus.I left the Orange County Sheriff's Office Central Operation Complex and drove to H&B Trading Company. I arrived at approximately 1525 hours and puled up next to a maroon Ford Taurus which was parked alone in the parking lot of the business. :Burner. I asked him if he wanted to speak with me in my car our his car; he agreed to sit in my car to talk. Mr. Burner sat in the front passenger seat of my unmarked patrol car. We engaged in a brief greeting and short conversation about the why he wanted to speak with a detective. Afterwards, Mr. Burner agreed to allow me to record his statements as I thought they may be
pertinent to the case. Mr. Burner presented his Florida Driver's License to me, at my request, so that I could confirm his identity. I copied the information onto my notepad and returned his license to him. I activated the recorder and placed It on the console of the car. Mr. Burner acknowledged that he was a willing participant in the interview and that he was not threatened, promised or coerced in any way for his testimony.Mr. Burner told me that he was in Chicago from June 10th through June 16th, 2008. He said he was not certain whether he returned home the week of the 16th or the following week. He said shortly after he had returned home, he was doing his yard work when Casey Anthony, his neighbor, came over and asked him if she could borrow a shovel to dig up a bamboo root that she had been tripping over. He said he loaned her the shovel and he continued doing his yard work. He said he gave her the shovel and she walked into the garage with it. He said he saw Casey Anthony's car backed into the garage and he thought that was unusual, because she normally parks in the driveway. He said Casey Anthony appeared to be home alone; he said he saw no one else with her and there were no other cars in the driveway. He said he did not see her leave in her car. He said he finished his yard work and locked up his tools. He said he walked back around to the front of his house to see if Casey was done with his shovel and noticed that the garage door was still up and her car was in the garage. He said told his 13 year old son, Nicholas, that if Casey came to the door and rang the door bell, she would be returning his shovel. He told him it would be okay for him to open the door and take the shovel.Mr. Burner said he went inside to take his shower and when he was done he asked Nicholas if Casey had returned the shovel and Nicholas told him that she had not. He estimated approximately 10 more minutes lapsed before Casey returned the shovel. He said Casey rang the front door bell and handed him tile shovel. He said she did not appear to be dirty. She was wearing shorts and a sport top / sport bra. He said she had the shovel for approximately forty five minutes to one hour, from approximately 1330-1430. He said he placed the shovel inside his interior garage door, leaning against the wall and he had not used the shovel since it was placed there. Mr. Burner agreed to allow me to come to his house and collect the shovel for further examination.The interview was recorded with the permission and knowledge of Mr. Brian Burner. The interview lasted for approximately 13 minutes and concluded at approximately 1548 hours. While enroute to the residence, I called the Orange County Sheriffs Office Crime Scene Investigative Unit and spoke with Mike Vincent, Crime Scene Investigative Unit supervisor and asked him to have a crime scene investigator meet me at 4929 Hopespring Drive, Orlando. Florida to photograph and collect the shovel.At approximately 1600 hours, I called Detective Corporal Yuri Melich and briefed him on the contents of the interview. I told him I was en route to meet a Crime Scene Investigator at Mr. Burner's residence to photograph and collect the shovel. He asked me when I completed my business at Mr. Burner's residence to go next door to the Anthony's house and introduce myself to Cindy and George Anthony and ask them for permission to examine their yard during the daylight hours. At approximately 1632 hours, I arrived at the residence. Mr. Burner invited me inside his residence. Once inside the front door, he opened the interior garage door, which was immediately to my left after walking through the front door and showed me the shovel leaning against the wall. He told me the shovel has not been used or moved since he set it there over a month ago after Casey Anthony used it.At approximately 1638 hours, Mr. Burner willingly signed without threat, promise or coercion the Waiver and Affidavit I Consent to Search form allowing the sheriffs office personnel to come into his home and collect the shovel. At approximately 1645 hours, Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) Gerardo Bloise arrived at the residence and began his investigation. I partially completed a Property Form for Investigator Bloise and ask Mr. Burner to sign the form indicating that he is aware that we were taking his shovel. He signed the form at approximately 1650 hours and was given a receipt of the form after CSI Bloise completed his sections of the form. I also needed to clarify whether Casey Anthony's car was inside the garage that day or just parked in the driveway, He confirmed allowing and inviting us [Orange County Sheriffs Office personnel] into his home to collect the shovel. He confirmed that the car was backed all the way into the garage and not parked in the driveway.The interview was recorded with the permission and knowledge of Mr. Brian Burner. The interview lasted for approximately 1 minute 37 seconds and concluded at approximately 1707 hours. This interview was recorded, copied from the digital recorder to a CD, transcribed from the CD to a typed written transcript and a copy of the audio CD and transcript are attached to this report.At approximately 1715 hours, I completed my business at the Burner's home and walked next door to the Anthony's home. I knocked on the front door and was invited inside. Once inside, I spoke with Mrs, Cindy Anthony, who was seated in the family room speaking to three men who were later identified as two attorneys representing Casey Anthony and another attorney/friend who was present representing the interest of Cindy and George Anthony. I explained to Mrs. Anthony that I was not certain if I could speak freely and she assured me it was okay. I explained to her that Detective Corporal Yuri Melich asked me to come by and ask for permission to examine their yard during the daylight hours. I cautioned her that she was under no obligation to allow me to examine her yard or house. I continued by explaining to her that she had every right to ask me to leave and I would respect her wishes. One of the attorneys, who I believe was Cindy and George Anthony's attorney, told me that I covered it. He told me "it was fine", which I took as meaning my discussion with Cindy and George Anthony about their willingness to allow me consent to search the premise. The attorney told me that I was welcomed here and Cindy and George Anthony echoed those sentiments as George Anthony showed me how to get into the back yard from his family room.I walked out onto the back porch followed by George Anthony. I explained to him the reason for my visit and told him about the recent discovery that Casey borrowed the neighbor's shovel for a brief period of time. I told him I wanted to examine his back yard for evidence of freshly turned soil or any suspicious disturbed areas. George Anthony walked with me into his back yard and assisted me in my examination of his yard by showing me what he thought might be suspicious areas in his back yard.George Anthony allowed me to search the inside of his three back yard sheds. The sheds were locked and were unlocked by George Anthony to facilitate my search. He told me that he and his wife had already searched through the sheds, but I was welcomed to check behind them. He told me that he even moved his granddaughter's playhouse and looked underneath it for evidence of foul play. The playhouse is positioned in the back yard on a deck of brick pavers.After completing an examination of the back yard, I spoke with Sergeant John Allen on the telephone and told him there was one small depression in the soil near the pool area that George Anthony agreed looked suspicious. Sergeant Allen told me he was coordinating the response of the cadaver dog and the Crime Scene Unit. Investigative Analysts Tanya DePalma and Awilda McBryde arrived at the residence and also assisted in the search of the back yard and the drainage easement area directly behind the Anthony's fence.At approximately 1900 hours, other units began arriving at the residence to include: Sergeant John Allen, CSI Gerardo Bloise, CSI Mike Vincent, K9 Corporal Mike Carden and two other K9 handlers, Commander Matthew Irwin, Detective Dave Clark, and Detective Kevin Kraubetz. The investigation was turned over to the K9 Units and the Crime Scene Investigators. I left the residence at approximately 2023 hours.
BANK OF AMERICA ENGAGEMENT
On Friday, July 18th, 2008, at approximately 1730 hours, I received a Crime Line Tip from the Orange County Sheriffs Office Communications Center which reported that a bank customer, Mr. Curtis Lampp, believed he saw Caylee Anthony in the lobby of the Bank Of America, located at 33 East Main Street, Apopka, Florida bank on today between 0930 and 0945 hours. I spoke with Mr. Lampp on the telephone to gain more details. Mr. Lampp told me that the girl he saw in the bank lobby looked so much like Caylee Anthony that he almost called her by name. I called the bank and spoke with Lynn Garrett and explained that needed to come speak with them today and possibly check their surveillance video for the day. She said the lobby of the bank would be closing at 1800 hours, but she would wait for me.

I arrived at the bank and was allowed inside the locked doors by Lynn Garrett. I was able to collect the customer sign in log for the day, before they discarded it. Lynn Garrett and Lorraine Rodriguez went over the sign in log and helped me determine who came in the bank with a small child. After some discussion and recollection, they remembered a regular customer did come into the bank with her grand child and the grand child does resemble Caylee Anthony. Lynn Garrett gave me the name and telephone for the security person [Roy Gonzaque (407) 420-2889] from whom I would need to get a copy of the surveillance video.On Monday, July 22nd, 2008, at approximately 0941 hours, I spoke with Roy Gonzaque over the telephone and he agreed to send me a CD copy of the bank's video for the front lobby. I received the overnight package of the video on Tuesday at approximately 0900 hours. I reviewed the video and discovered the person of interest holding a small child who resembled Caylee Anthony. I printed a still photograph of the video and met with Lynn Garrett at approximately 1205 hours. She confirmed that the person holding the child was Pat Hooper and the child she was holding was her grand daughter.The customer sign in sheet was collected with a Property form. Both the customer sign in log and the video surveillance CD were placed into evidence.
KIOMARIE J. TORRES CRUZ ENGAGEMENT
On July 19th, 2008 at approximately 2030 hours, I received a telephone call from Kiomarie Torres Cruz. She told me she got my number from a friend named "Bailey [Bailey Dickens]" who got my number from Brian Burner. She wanted to tell me that she and Casey Anthony were best of friends in high school. She said Jessica, Casey and her were close friends. She told me that she thought it was important to tell me that she spoke with Casey over the telephone on July 9th, 2008 in the afternoon hours. She said Casey did not call from her cellular phone, which she had programmed into her telephone, because Casey's name did not come up on the screen when she answered it. She said she did not recognize the number, but thought the call was from a 407 area code. She said she answered the call thinking it was possibly work related. She said Casey asked her if she could borrow $150-$200 and she agreed and told Casey to call her when she needed to meet to get the money. She said while she was talking to Casey on the telephone she heard a female child's voice say mommy, mommy and Casey told the child, "Not now I am on the telephone." Kiomarie Torres Cruz said she heard cartoons in the background of the telephone conversation. [On July 20th, 2008, at approximately 2025 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz later called me to tell me that she was mistaken when she told me about talking to Casey Anthony on the telephone. She said she was actually talking to Casey Williams, not Casey Anthony. She said Casey Williams also has a young daughter]I asked Kiomarie Torres Cruz if she could provide me with an itemized T-Mobile bill for her July calls. She said she would have to check with her fiance, since the T-Mobile account was in his name and get back to me. She also told me she heard that Casey borrowed the neighbor's shovel and she immediately thought about their "hide-out" that they used to go to in the woods just around the corner from Casey Anthony's parent's house. She agreed to meet me in front of the Hidden Oak Elementary School tonight and take me to their special place in the woods.At approximately 2131 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz met with me in front of the Hidden Oak Elementary School and walked me back into the wooded area behind the school where she showed me where Casey, Jessica and her favorite spots to "hang out" were located. Afterwards, at approximately 2153 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz willingly without threat, promise or coercion provided me a recorded statement.She told me that the only babysitter she knew of when she and Casey worked at Universal Studios was Casey's mom and dad. She did not know Zenaida Gonzales. Kiomarie said the only Gonzales that she did know, was Ida [or similar name] Gonzales who lived on Hopespring Dr. down the street from Casey's parent's home. She never heard Casey talk about a baby sitter. She said she last time she saw Casey Anthony was a couple of months ago at the Super Walmart Store and she did not have Caylee with her.Kiomarie Torres Cruz also said that during Casey's pregnancy, Casey told her that she wanted put the baby up for adoption, but her mother would not let her. Kiomarie said she told Casey that she had the money and she would be interested in adopting her baby, because the doctor told her that she could not have children, but that never happened.Kiomarie Torres Cruz also said that she thought Casey Anthony was Bi-Polar and/or had mental issues. She remembered a time when Casey asked her something one day and when Kiomarie brought it up on the next day or talk about what she asked her the previous day, Casey would swear not having asked her.

(407) 927-1683. On July 20th, 2008, at approximately 2025 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz called me back to apologize that she was mistaken when she told me she talked to Casey Anthony on July 9th, 2008. She said she confused Casey Anthony with her friend Casey Williams. She said she actually spoke with Casey Williams, who also has a 2 1/2 year old girl. She said she spoke with Casey Williams today and that is what jogged her memory. She said Casey William's called her and wanted to borrow some money for her personal circumstance. She said she would call me tomorrow with the telephone number that Casey Williams used to call her. She said she thought that Casey Williams called from her boyfriend's apartment. On July 23rd,2008, at approximately 0940 hours, I spoke with Bailey Dickens who confined that he was the person who convinced Kiomarie Torres Cruz to call me with her insights into this case. At approximately 1558 hours, I received a telephone call from Kiomarie Torres Cruz in which she confirmed that she spoke with Casey Williams on July 9th, not Casey Anthony. She said Casey Williams wanted to borrow money to move back home because she and her boyfriend were not getting along and he had battered her. Kiomarie Torres Cruz said she did not loan her the money, because Casey William's mother wired her the money. Kiomarie gave me Casey Williams' telephone number, (407)856-8405, but when I called the telephone number I received a recording advising me the number was disconnected or not in service.

CSI Bloise placed the shovel inside the large paper bags.At approximately 1705 hours, I conducted a second interview with Mr. Burner to establish the consent and collection of the shovel. I also needed to clarify whether Casey Anthony's car was inside the garage that day or just parked in the driveway, He confirmed allowing and inviting us [Orange County Sheriffs Office personnel] into his home to collect the shovel. He confirmed that the car was backed all the way into the garage and not parked in the driveway.The interview was recorded with the permission and knowledge of Mr. Brian Burner. The interview lasted for approximately 1 minute 37 seconds and concluded at approximately 1707 hours. This interview was recorded, copied from the digital recorder to a CD, transcribed from the CD to a typed written transcript and a copy of the audio CD and transcript are attached to this report.At approximately 1715 hours, I completed my business at the Burner's home and walked next door to the Anthony's home. I knocked on the front door and was invited inside. Once inside, I spoke with Mrs, Cindy Anthony, who was seated in the family room speaking to three men who were later identified as two attorneys representing Casey Anthony and another attorney/friend who was present representing the interest of Cindy and George Anthony. I explained to Mrs. Anthony that I was not certain if I could speak freely and she assured me it was okay. I explained to her that Detective Corporal Yuri Melich asked me to come by and ask for permission to examine their yard during the daylight hours. I cautioned her that she was under no obligation to allow me to examine her yard or house. I continued by explaining to her that she had every right to ask me to leave and I would respect her wishes. One of the attorneys, who I believe was Cindy and George Anthony's attorney, told me that I covered it. He told me "it was fine", which I took as meaning my discussion with Cindy and George Anthony about their willingness to allow me consent to search the premise. The attorney told me that I was welcomed here and Cindy and George Anthony echoed those sentiments as George Anthony showed me how to get into the back yard from his family room.I walked out onto the back porch followed by George Anthony. I explained to him the reason for my visit and told him about the recent discovery that Casey borrowed the neighbor's shovel for a brief period of time. I told him I wanted to examine his back yard for evidence of freshly turned soil or any suspicious disturbed areas. George Anthony walked with me into his back yard and assisted me in my examination of his yard by showing me what he thought might be suspicious areas in his back yard.George Anthony allowed me to search the inside of his three back yard sheds. The sheds were locked and were unlocked by George Anthony to facilitate my search. He told me that he and his wife had already searched through the sheds, but I was welcomed to check behind them. He told me that he even moved his granddaughter's playhouse and looked underneath it for evidence of foul play. The playhouse is positioned in the back yard on a deck of brick pavers.After completing an examination of the back yard, I spoke with Sergeant John Allen on the telephone and told him there was one small depression in the soil near the pool area that George Anthony agreed looked suspicious. Sergeant Allen told me he was coordinating the response of the cadaver dog and the Crime Scene Unit. Investigative Analysts Tanya DePalma and Awilda McBryde arrived at the residence and also assisted in the search of the back yard and the drainage easement area directly behind the Anthony's fence.At approximately 1900 hours, other units began arriving at the residence to include: Sergeant John Allen, CSI Gerardo Bloise, CSI Mike Vincent, K9 Corporal Mike Carden and two other K9 handlers, Commander Matthew Irwin, Detective Dave Clark, and Detective Kevin Kraubetz. The investigation was turned over to the K9 Units and the Crime Scene Investigators. I left the residence at approximately 2023 hours.
BANK OF AMERICA ENGAGEMENT
On Friday, July 18th, 2008, at approximately 1730 hours, I received a Crime Line Tip from the Orange County Sheriffs Office Communications Center which reported that a bank customer, Mr. Curtis Lampp, believed he saw Caylee Anthony in the lobby of the Bank Of America, located at 33 East Main Street, Apopka, Florida bank on today between 0930 and 0945 hours. I spoke with Mr. Lampp on the telephone to gain more details. Mr. Lampp told me that the girl he saw in the bank lobby looked so much like Caylee Anthony that he almost called her by name. I called the bank and spoke with Lynn Garrett and explained that needed to come speak with them today and possibly check their surveillance video for the day. She said the lobby of the bank would be closing at 1800 hours, but she would wait for me.

SUPPLEMENT #13 - INCIDENT REPORT (08/12/08):
I arrived at the bank and was allowed inside the locked doors by Lynn Garrett. I was able to collect the customer sign in log for the day, before they discarded it. Lynn Garrett and Lorraine Rodriguez went over the sign in log and helped me determine who came in the bank with a small child. After some discussion and recollection, they remembered a regular customer did come into the bank with her grand child and the grand child does resemble Caylee Anthony. Lynn Garrett gave me the name and telephone for the security person [Roy Gonzaque (407) 420-2889] from whom I would need to get a copy of the surveillance video.On Monday, July 22nd, 2008, at approximately 0941 hours, I spoke with Roy Gonzaque over the telephone and he agreed to send me a CD copy of the bank's video for the front lobby. I received the overnight package of the video on Tuesday at approximately 0900 hours. I reviewed the video and discovered the person of interest holding a small child who resembled Caylee Anthony. I printed a still photograph of the video and met with Lynn Garrett at approximately 1205 hours. She confirmed that the person holding the child was Pat Hooper and the child she was holding was her grand daughter.The customer sign in sheet was collected with a Property form. Both the customer sign in log and the video surveillance CD were placed into evidence.
KIOMARIE J. TORRES CRUZ ENGAGEMENT
On July 19th, 2008 at approximately 2030 hours, I received a telephone call from Kiomarie Torres Cruz. She told me she got my number from a friend named "Bailey [Bailey Dickens]" who got my number from Brian Burner. She wanted to tell me that she and Casey Anthony were best of friends in high school. She said Jessica, Casey and her were close friends. She told me that she thought it was important to tell me that she spoke with Casey over the telephone on July 9th, 2008 in the afternoon hours. She said Casey did not call from her cellular phone, which she had programmed into her telephone, because Casey's name did not come up on the screen when she answered it. She said she did not recognize the number, but thought the call was from a 407 area code. She said she answered the call thinking it was possibly work related. She said Casey asked her if she could borrow $150-$200 and she agreed and told Casey to call her when she needed to meet to get the money. She said while she was talking to Casey on the telephone she heard a female child's voice say mommy, mommy and Casey told the child, "Not now I am on the telephone." Kiomarie Torres Cruz said she heard cartoons in the background of the telephone conversation. [On July 20th, 2008, at approximately 2025 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz later called me to tell me that she was mistaken when she told me about talking to Casey Anthony on the telephone. She said she was actually talking to Casey Williams, not Casey Anthony. She said Casey Williams also has a young daughter]I asked Kiomarie Torres Cruz if she could provide me with an itemized T-Mobile bill for her July calls. She said she would have to check with her fiance, since the T-Mobile account was in his name and get back to me. She also told me she heard that Casey borrowed the neighbor's shovel and she immediately thought about their "hide-out" that they used to go to in the woods just around the corner from Casey Anthony's parent's house. She agreed to meet me in front of the Hidden Oak Elementary School tonight and take me to their special place in the woods.At approximately 2131 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz met with me in front of the Hidden Oak Elementary School and walked me back into the wooded area behind the school where she showed me where Casey, Jessica and her favorite spots to "hang out" were located. Afterwards, at approximately 2153 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz willingly without threat, promise or coercion provided me a recorded statement.She told me that the only babysitter she knew of when she and Casey worked at Universal Studios was Casey's mom and dad. She did not know Zenaida Gonzales. Kiomarie said the only Gonzales that she did know, was Ida [or similar name] Gonzales who lived on Hopespring Dr. down the street from Casey's parent's home. She never heard Casey talk about a baby sitter. She said she last time she saw Casey Anthony was a couple of months ago at the Super Walmart Store and she did not have Caylee with her.Kiomarie Torres Cruz also said that during Casey's pregnancy, Casey told her that she wanted put the baby up for adoption, but her mother would not let her. Kiomarie said she told Casey that she had the money and she would be interested in adopting her baby, because the doctor told her that she could not have children, but that never happened.Kiomarie Torres Cruz also said that she thought Casey Anthony was Bi-Polar and/or had mental issues. She remembered a time when Casey asked her something one day and when Kiomarie brought it up on the next day or talk about what she asked her the previous day, Casey would swear not having asked her.

Kiomarie Torres Cruz called me on July 20th, 2008, at approximately 1419 hours and told me that her fiance was not going to let her send me an itemized account billing for her telephone that is under his account. (407) 927-1683. On July 20th, 2008, at approximately 2025 hours, Kiomarie Torres Cruz called me back to apologize that she was mistaken when she told me she talked to Casey Anthony on July 9th, 2008. She said she confused Casey Anthony with her friend Casey Williams. She said she actually spoke with Casey Williams, who also has a 2 1/2 year old girl. She said she spoke with Casey Williams today and that is what jogged her memory. She said Casey William's called her and wanted to borrow some money for her personal circumstance. She said she would call me tomorrow with the telephone number that Casey Williams used to call her. She said she thought that Casey Williams called from her boyfriend's apartment. On July 23rd,2008, at approximately 0940 hours, I spoke with Bailey Dickens who confined that he was the person who convinced Kiomarie Torres Cruz to call me with her insights into this case. At approximately 1558 hours, I received a telephone call from Kiomarie Torres Cruz in which she confirmed that she spoke with Casey Williams on July 9th, not Casey Anthony. She said Casey Williams wanted to borrow money to move back home because she and her boyfriend were not getting along and he had battered her. Kiomarie Torres Cruz said she did not loan her the money, because Casey William's mother wired her the money. Kiomarie gave me Casey Williams' telephone number, (407)856-8405, but when I called the telephone number I received a recording advising me the number was disconnected or not in service.

Map of General Location Where Remains Were Found
Here is a map of the general location where the remains of what appears to be a child's body were found. The location (woods near A on map) is in the same neighborhood where Casey Anthony lived with her parents, Cindy and George Anthony, on Hopespring Drive (B on map). Casey Anthony faces a first-degree murder charge in connection with her daughter, Caylee, who was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July.
