Brad Conway, the Anthony's attorney, also states, "The Anthony's do not want anyone besides the state, the (Medical Examiner’s) office and the defense to see them. Period."
The state argues that substantial licensing fees have been paid for pictures and video of Caylee taken while she was alive. That is why prosecutors want the judge to place special restrictions on digitized images of the remains before they hand them over to attorney Jose Baez and his defense team.
The discs include X-rays and photos of Caylee's body, which were supposed to be delivered to the defense under a court’s order. But in a motion filed last Tuesday, the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office said it has concerns that the images will be reproduced and sold.
In a hearing last week, Judge Strickland ruled the defense could have access to Caylee's autopsy report. The reports and images are contained on discs. Judge Strickland also ruled that Baez's law firm must set up a secure internet server to allow experts for the defense to view the evidence over the internet. Some, if not all, of the defense's "dream team" of experts are outside of the Orlando area and would need to utilize the internet for receiving and/or viewing the evidence.
Cindy and George continue to sell on their myspace page t-shirts with Caylee's image on them, originally made for the initial search. This has angered many and appears that the Anthony's are profiting off the sale of the t-shirts. It is widely known that the Anthony's received a substantial sum, a reported $20,000, for pictures licensed to ABC, as well as NBC.
Caylee has also been on two covers of People magazine, each featuring an inside spread and interview of the Anthony's. Reports are Cindy and George were paid for the interviews, but an amount has not been disclosed.
