Casey Anthony Saga: Meter Reader Roy Kronk on Good Morning America
Following is video of meter reader, Roy Kronk's appearance on Good Morning America, Tuesday, January 13, 2009.
Kronk sat down with GMA's Robin Roberts to tell his story of his finding of Caylee's remains; reasons for his adamant need for anonymity in the beginning; speculation of his "good Samaritan" standing by some persons; and also, his prior kidnapping charge.
It is being reported Kronk received payment for "photographs" in exchange for interview. Amount has been undisclosed.
Kronk appeared on national TV for the first time and he may have put his credibility in jeopardy.
"It just made sense to me that if you were going to get rid of something like that and with the smell of the swamp decay on either side of the road, it would have been a great place to hide it," Kronk told Robin Roberts.
Legal analyst, Bill Sheaffer said morning news viewers were not the only ones watching Kronk. Casey Anthony's defense team was likely to dissect every word, looking for inconsistencies in Kronk's statements.
"The prosecution has to be very nervous about a key witness such as he going on national television and making statements," Sheaffer said.
