Baez Wants Access To Photos of Caylee's Remains; State Says "No"; Strickland to Rule Thursday

Casey Anthony’s attorneys objected Wednesday morning to a state motion to withhold three (3) discs that show Caylee Anthony’s remains.

A hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., before Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland, in the Orange County Courthouse.

The discs include X-rays and photos of her body, which were supposed to be delivered to the defense under a court’s order. But in a motion filed Tuesday, the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office said it has concerns that the images will be reproduced and sold.

The state argues that substantial licensing fees have been paid for pictures and video of Caylee taken while she was alive. That is why prosecutors want the judge to place special restrictions on digitized images of the remains before they hand them over to attorney Jose Baez and his defense team. (Wait, didn't Cindy say they did not get paid for licensing the photos? Didn't NeJame have a knock down drag out fight with Nancy Grace over this very topic? No, NO the Anthony's haven't received any money for the pictures. We believe this even though it was reported by ABC that they paid for the photos used during the 20/20 interview. (Photo licensing is a loophole of getting around the no payment for interview, used by top media outlets) Then during Thanksgiving weekend, someone hacked into Cindy's email, and leaked to the media, the invoice that Larry Garrison faxed to NBC, for the upcoming special on Dateline. That doesn't include the numerous times George and Cindy, mainly Cindy, have been on the Today Show, NBC has to pay for those pictures that run before, during and after Cindy speaks.

In court documents, prosecutors say they have three discs ready to hand over, but they want the judge to order Baez not to reproduce those images in any way. They also want restrictions placed on whom Baez can show the images.
Meanwhile, Caylee Anthony's remains are still in an undisclosed funeral home awaiting the defense's request for a second autopsy. The first autopsy was concluded almost two weeks ago.
The Anthony family can not hold a memorial or proceed with Caylee's funeral and memorial services until the defense if finished with the remains.
Caesy has been denied access to the funeral and memorial by OCSO due to her charges and concern for her safety. It was reported a few days ago that Casey could possibly watch the funeral and/or memorial on TV, but certain criteria have to be met to allow her access. (i.e. the time of funeral would have to coincide with a time she is outside of her cell, and if it is broadcast on a channel the jail already has access to. Casey has made not petition to the court to want to attend

Baez represents Casey Anthony, who is charged with the first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Anthony is being held on no bond at Orange County Jail, with trial set for March.

The Anthony family reported Caylee missing in July, but her remains were found last month about a half mile from the family’s home in Orange County.

Baez calls the prosecution’s motion “without merit or precedent” and says it would create an “undue and unheard of burden” on the defense. ::::::passing Kleenex box:::::::

Judge Sets Hearing On Casey Anthony Deposition

A judge will hear arguments later this week on whether Casey Anthony must give a deposition in a lawsuit filed by a woman who shares the name of the nanny Anthony accused of disappearing with her daughter, Caylee.

Orange County Circuit Court Judge Jose R. Rodriquez set the hearing for Thursday morning. He will hear arguments from attorneys for Anthony, who don’t want her to be deposed because of a pending criminal trial, and attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing Anthony.

The decision came during a court hearing in an Orlando courtroom on Tuesday morning.
Anthony is being held without bond in Orange County Jail on first-degree murder and other charges. Prosecutors say she killed Caylee, who was 2 when she was reported missing in July.

A trial is set for March.

Caylee’s body was found last month, about a half mile from her grandparents’ Orange County home, where she and her mother often stayed. (See photos from scene.)

Gonzalez says in her lawsuit that Anthony defamed her when she used her name in connection with Caylee’s disappearance. Gonzalez said she lost her job and that she and her children suffered pain after her name was used.

Gonzalez is represented by John Morgan, a high-profile Orlando attorney whose name and face are often seen on billboards and television commercials.

Anthony has said that she was talking about a different woman named Zenaida Gonzalez when she talked with investigators. ::::::and this blog is being written by another woman named SpoiledMom:::::

Garrison quit and never sold any pictures. Why would Cindy anthony have Garrison's bill in her computer. Are you just trying to get readers?

Rumor is Garrison is going to sue you for defamation.

I have the copy of the invoice he faxed to NBC,thank you. The invoice is NBC's licensure of the pictures and if you took the time to read the blog, you would see it as well.

This is not a rumor: Harrassment is punishiable by a court of law.

insecurity and jealousy hides behind anonymity.

@ anonymous:

and for the record I never mentioned in this article that Garrison SOLD pictures. YOU did. Did you even read the article? I stated clearly why Cindy had the invoice and how it was released to the public. I do not make up anything to get readers. look at my hits. (and I do not think they are showing up for anthing titled "larry garrison" which was not in the title of this post) With cancer, chemo treatments, radiation, and kids, I don't have time, nor the need to make up anything.

And with all that on my plate, I would not trade my life for yours anyday. You don't scare me, if that is what you are trying to do. Posting stupid shit like you said will get you in trouble however. Believe me. and if you don't ask any blogger.. we do know who comes and goes...and from where

have a great one!
