I just watched Sean Krause's video and am numb with grief. Mad World from Donnie Darko is one of my favorite songs and it goes very well with this tragic saga.
But while DD was a movie (and a brilliant one) this story is true. No one witnessing it unfolding can get over the horror of it.
It is not just about the murder of a young child. It is about the conspiracy of betrayal by her entire family.
There are levels of tragedy here: a murdering mother enabled by her own family. A baby abandoned by those who were charged with her protection.
The latest documents make all people of good conscience sick at heart. It reveals the numerous failures of Cindy Anthony (and George) to stop the monster called Casey.
I do not know how that woman can live with herself knowing that the key to Caylee's salvation lay with her. All she had to do was apply for custody. But it was too expensive, she claimed.
Well, a corpse is cheaper than a living child, I suppose.
Cindy, you sure did save yourself a bundle of money.
Bravo to you, Sean Krause, and to you Spoiled Mom. I've read your blogs and know you are both valiant warriors in the fight against cancer.
I wish you strength and health.
And I commend your ability to rise above your own illnesses to be a beacon of light.
May Caylee find peace and justice.
@Bungalow Babe:
Very well said.
It doesn't happen often, but I absolutely have a loss for words after your comment.
You have summarized it and tied it all up with a bow.
Yes, Cindy thought the safety and well-being of Caylee was too expensive to challenge for full custody of her. As a mother, I do not think that a price can be put on a child's welfare. What makes Cindy's statement even more despicable, is "alledgedly" it was made after finding Casey's car and the smell that Cindy knew was decomposition. She also told her co-workers that.
It is sad that the dynamic of this family has had to be played out to all of America due to the horrendus murder of a child. We may never know the true cause of death of Caylee, but this family's "skeletons" will forever be known. I can not imagine what we "don't" know of this family, but I have a feeling we have not heard the end.
Your kind words are so appreciated. I admire Sean as well. Cancer Sucks, you can either fight the fight, or lie down and die. I have 2 gorgeous reasons to fight like hell.
As for the blog, I put a small part of my energy into so that Caylee will continue to have a voice. I also do it for the readers, like yourself, who care what happens and want justice for Caylee.
Keep Caylee in your heart and God Bless.
~Chrissy
And I thought I was at a loss for words.. :)
